Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assures high quality, safe and cost effective service to all patients / families/significant others.
- Prepares patients for examination including the identification of the chief complaint, the taking of vital signs, height, weight, etc. and ensures smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Conducts all routine procedures as requested, including hearing and sight examinations.
- Collects specimens and sends to the laboratory, with appropriate paperwork, assisting with routine laboratory procedures, as required.
- Assists physicians and nurse practitioners in healthcare activities, performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and the administration of medications as necessary.
- Assists with stocking the examining room and special treatment rooms.
- Assists in keeping patients medical records in good order with appropriate and timely documentation, notations and signatures as required.
- Ensures an appropriate environment for the administration of healthcare by keeping exam rooms, nurse's stations, all equipment and other work areas clean, safe and orderly.
- Serves as Team Leader for specific modalities as directed under the supervision of Registered Nurse and/or Provider
REQUIREMENTS
- Certification of practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Tennessee.
- Three (3) plus years experience
- BLS Certified

Certified Medical Assistant

- Associate Degree preferred.
- 1 -2 years of experiences required.
- Must have completed an accredited pharmacy tech program.

Dentist

Clinical Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist in directing medical ancillary services, including laboratory and radiology. Organize, plan and direct nursing service department functions and activities. Help to execute objectives, rules, and regulations, and policies and procedures of nursing care and medical ancillary services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Coordinate plans and policies, resources, and missions as well as goals, vision, and expectations of organization or program; prepare and updates plans and priorities.
- Set goals, establishes priorities, manages resources, and develops concepts and approaches, reviews projects progress and results; make management decisions.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or organization rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
- Participates in establishing direction, goals and policies. Meets with organization managers and directors to determine needs and challenges.
- Supervise subordinate personnel including: workload and delegating assignments.
- Develops and implements procedures in response to organization policy, state and federal laws, etc.
- Provide recommendations, advocates and/or implements, new and/or changes to existing, policies and procedures, laws or regulations.
- Acts as a resource to team members, participates in team and professional meetings and gives input as to the needs of the patients.
- Monitor and evaluates operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee.
- Five (5) years of public health nursing experience including two (2) years of supervisory or administrative responsibilities.
- BSN preferred.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Staff Physician
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Physician works as part of the medical provider team providing medical services to the patients of the Health Center. They also will serve as a clinical resource to other clinical staff members. The staff physician will assist the Chief Medical Officer in formulation policy statements for approval by the governing authority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Provide primary medical care by caring for all patients in accordance with the physician's medical specialty.
- Develops a plan of care for each patient, including: complete medical history, physician's medical diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral, including hospitalization where necessary.
- Stresses the importance of preventive health care measures.
- Uses all available resources in diagnosis and treatment, such as laboratory and radiological testing, in an appropriate and cost efficient manner.
- Confers with consulting physicians, nurse, patients, and patient's families concerning treatment and care of patients.
- Refers those cases which require specialist services, but maintains responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided.
- Participates in the development and implementation of a regularly up-dated performance improvement plan for the health center.
- Participates in the Health Promotion/Disease Prevention activities required by the U.S. Public Health Service.
- Attends all medical staff meetings and participates in the community health center's Q/A program.
- Performs other necessary duties as required by the community health center to meet the goals of providing primary health care.
- Demonstrate awareness of age specific, cultural and spiritual practices of patients, staff and visitors.
- Understand the functional status and physical needs of patients, staff and visitors.
- Understand specific duties/responsibilities as outlined in individual contracts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee.
- Graduate of an accredited institution of medicine with a degree of Doctor of Medicine.
- Completion of an approved residency program in internal medicine, family practice, or other appropriate discipline.
- Must maintain professional affiliation with a national medical society.
- Must have the ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and other health care providers of the health center.
- Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
- Maintain CPR, PALS, & ACLS certifications as applicable.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Staff Physician may be asked to serve as Physician in Charge at a particular clinic site and as such will supervise the medical team at that site.
- The Staff Physician may also be asked to supervise a PA or NP.

- Maintains patient satisfaction survey results in compliance with established targets.
